He accomplished the feat during his team’s game against Sunrisers Hyderabad at MCA Stadium in Pune. During the match, he played a strong unbeaten 49* on 28 balls, including 3 fours and 4 sixes. Russell has had a solid IPL season so far, scoring 330 runs over 11 innings at an average of 41.25. His best individual score is 70*.
He has marked half a century in the tournament so far.
Coming to the game, a 63-point stand between Sam Billings (34) and Andre Russell took the Kolkata Knight Riders to a solid 177/6 in their 20 overs here at MCA Stadium in Pune on Saturday.
It was a solid day for KKR with the bat as everyone made valuable contributions that helped the team to a strong score. Umran Malik was the bowlers choice for SRH, impressing once again with three scalps in his cat.
Russell also played with the ball, winning three wickets as SRH were limited to 123/8 as KKR recorded a crucial 54-run win.
