Brahmastra actor Ranbir Kapoor says people who criticize Alia Bhatt are ‘jealous’ of her

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are one of the most adorable couples in the Indian film industry. They first shared the screen space in their latest movie Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukerji. However, some of the people dragged the actress for her dialogues and acting.

Now, while speaking to The New Zealand Times, Ranbir Kapoor spoke of his wife Alia and said the criticism she faces is “just jealousy”. During her pregnancy, Alia worked for the Hollywood movie Heart Of Stone in Europe, Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Speaking to The New Zealand Times, Ranbir said: “I think the way she’s behaved throughout the marketing of this movie while she’s pregnant, in the condition she’s in – I think you should be inspired by that alone. Every criticism is just jealousy and mischief and stupidity and we shouldn’t take that seriously.”

Alia in the history of Indian cinema is probably one of the most important actors there has ever been. The work she’s done on screen or the kind of way she carries herself, the value system she has and what she stands for, I haven’t seen that power in men or women and I think we just have to respect that,” said Ranbir.

On Sunday, Alia Bhatt shared an adorable photo of herself and Ranbir Kapoor on Instagram. The black and white photo, which showed a close-up of the actors’ facial features, showed Ranbir kissing Alia on the nose. In the romantic photo, Alia and Ranbir both had their eyes closed.

According to The New Zealand Times, Alia said, “We only have one life and two options. We can focus on the positives or think about negativity.”

“Whenever the media asks a negative question, we try not to distract ourselves with it. Criticism, reviews, opinions and feedback are the right of the public. We just hope to encounter more positive things instead of something negative. Movie release hone k baad aisa lag raha hani positive hi ja raha hain warna jo box office me aag lagayi hai woh hota nahi (Since Brahmastra released I think it has been positive otherwise how has it set the box office on fire put ),” Alia added.
