Clarence Thomas casts a fit over Roe protests

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas said conservatives would never protest at Supreme Court justices’ homes.

The New York Times reported Thomas’s remarks at an event in Dallas:

“You would never visit Supreme Court justices’ homes when things weren’t going our way,” he said. “We didn’t throw tantrums. It is our responsibility to always act appropriately and not to give up.

He added that conservatives had “never trashed a Supreme Court nominee”. He acknowledged that Merrick B. Garland, President Barack Obama’s third Supreme Court nominee, “didn’t get a hearing, but he didn’t get trashed.”

“You won’t see the total destruction of just one candidate,” Judge Thomas said. “You also won’t see people going to other people’s houses, attacking them while dining out, throwing things at them.”

Just to make sure everyone is clear on Justice Thomas’s position, it is perfectly acceptable to support an insurrection and attempt to overthrow the government, but under no circumstances attempt to demonstrate peacefully outside the homes of the judges of the Supreme Court. It’s a bridge too far.

Clarence Thomas demands that Americans be civil while their rights are being stolen, just like Trump supporters who tried to overthrow the government on a lie.
