NEW YORK (TNZT New York) – New York residents who qualify for food assistance will start seeing extra money in their accounts starting Saturday.
This week, Governor Kathy Hochul announced that the state would provide $230 million in additional federal funding to SNAP recipients.

Everyone enrolled in SNAP will get the maximum level of benefits this month. That’s $835 for a family of four.

Families already receiving the maximum will receive a $95 allowance.
