A homicide investigation is ongoing after a man was found dead at a property in Tauranga just after 10.30pm last night.

Police were first called to a disorderly incident involving a group of people at the Maungatapu Road residential address.
When they arrived at the scene, they found the body.
Police believe those involved in the disorder incident knew each other.
Scene examinations will continue today at two properties on Maungatapu Road, Senior Detective Sergeant John Wilson said.
Residents of the Maungatapu area will notice more police officers in the coming days as investigations are underway, he said.
No arrests were made.
