The increased use of applications often takes up a lot of space in our smartphones. No wonder we don’t have more space to accumulate thousands of photos and videos on our phones. Even if one buys the model with a large storage space, it still turns out less. Don’t worry, now you can free up space on your smartphone even if you don’t have a microSD card slot for storage expansion. Here is what you can do –

Clean up space using Google Play Store

To free up space using Google Play Store, all you have to do is launch the app, visit your profile, click “manage apps” and click on your device. Once you tap on the storage section again, you will be able to see which app is taking up which space on your phone. Eliminate the ones you don’t use. Pick the ones you use the least and uninstall them. Once done, you can check how much space you have freed up by deleting some selected apps.

Erase WhatsApp

WhatsApp Messenger is the most used messaging platform in India. Your app may be full of useless photos, videos and audios that take up a lot of space. You can use WhatsApp’s storage manager to erase images or other media. All you have to do is go to Settings and click on storage and data. Then click manage storage after opening the program. Here you will find all files larger than 5MB. Tap all junk files and delete them at once to create extra space on your phone.

Backup photos to cloud service

You can also free up space on your smartphone by using a cloud service. Just download Google Photos app and backup all your photos from phone gallery. Once done, you can clear the photos from your gallery as they will remain saved on the Google Photos app.

Empty the cache

Just make sure you don’t delete your data, only erase the ones you don’t want!
