Several months ago, Republicans made a big deal of John Durham accusing a Clinton attorney of lying to the FBI. A jury found attorney Michael Sussmann not guilty.

A federal jury found Michael Sussmann, an attorney for Democrats, including Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, not guilty of lying to the FBI when he brought allegations against Donald Trump to them during the 2016 presidential race.
Tuesday’s verdict was a major setback for special counsel John Durham, who was appointed during the Trump administration and spent three years investigating whether federal agents who investigated the 2016 Trump campaign committed wrongdoing.
Trump and the Republicans pressed the Durham investigation to prove that there was no Trump/Russia connection and that it was all concocted by Hillary Clinton’s campaign. According to Trump, certain factions of the GOP, the Trump/Russia relationship was just a plot by Hillary Clinton to have Trump investigated by the FBI.
The argument Durham’s prosecution presented to the jury was completely rejected, and Sussmann was found not guilty.
Donald Trump is increasingly complaining that his reputation has been ruined by the Russian allegations, and he has hoped for years that the Durham investigation might give him a denial for the Russian allegations.
Durham is a joke, and it’s time his fishing expedition for Donald Trump was stopped.
