A Clarkson insider previously told the outlet that the former couple “didn’t clash on so many levels and being in quarantine together escalated their issues to the point of no return…Brandon is very laid back, while Kelly is rather nervous.

The Montana ranch they lived on was among the issues they clashed over, as Clarkson failed to sell the property last August because Blackstock had resided there, and his subsequent attempts to have Blackstock evicted in November last.

A source told the outlet in December that Clarkson “suffered a major legal setback in an effort to get Brandon evicted from the Montana property that the judge assigned only to him.”

Blackstock “lives there and said he cannot afford to buy his own residence at this time, citing the unresolved financial aspect of their divorce”.

The former couple finally settled their divorce last March, with the judge stipulating that Blackstock could stay there until June but would have to pay Clarkson $12,500 a month in rent.

Clarkson was awarded primary custody of their two children, River, eight, and Remington, six, and must pay Blackstock $115,000 in monthly child support until January 2024, as well as $45,600 in child support .
