May 31 – A New Lebanon woman is charged with stabbing a teenager in the chest last week during a fight in a McDonald’s parking lot, court documents show.
Tracy Jean Baker, 43, is due in court Tuesday in Montgomery County Municipal Court – West Division on two counts of felony assault.
The charges stem from a Thursday incident when a minor was stabbed in the parking lot of 350 W. Main St. in New Lebanon.
The stabbing victim was taken to Dayton Children’s Hospital.
Upon investigation, police said there had been a fight between two groups and after collecting evidence, including video, they arrested Baker and a minor.
Cellphone video showed a few people fighting in the parking lot. At one point, onlookers said one of the assailants used pepper spray, and after the brief scuffle, a teenager could be heard shouting “Get stabbed!”
Police said around 5:30 p.m. during the fight, Baker stabbed a teenage boy in the chest, the affidavit said.
Baker remains in the Montgomery County Jail. His bail was set at $10,000. She is sentenced to electronic home arrest if she posts bond, according to court records.
