Plymouth man allegedly smashes teenager’s head from wheel in road rage incident

A ‘road rage screaming match’ turned violent after a Plymouth man allegedly smashed a teenager’s head into a steering wheel on Wednesday, authorities say.

Daniel Kenney, 49, of Plymouth was arrested for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (a steering wheel) and assault and battery according to the Plymouth Police Department.

Police say the incident began with a verbal altercation between Kenney and a 16-year-old, but things quickly spiraled out of control once Kenney left his car.

Officials say Mr Kenney punched the teenager in the face and began shaking his body back and forth, causing the victim’s head to bounce off the steering wheel.

There was no immediate word on the extent of the teenager’s injuries and it is unclear what sparked the altercation.

Plymouth Police are reminding drivers that getting out of a vehicle during a road rage incident is never a good idea.
