Rideshare drivers protest outside city hall in fight for better wages, safety conditions

CHICAGO (TNZT)– Dozens of rideshare riders are expected to stage another rally in their fight for better wages and safety conditions.

Drivers from Uber, Lyft and other gig companies plan to protest outside Chicago City Hall starting 9am

Several councilors are expected to join them.

An ordinance is currently pending with the Chicago City Council that would increase drivers’ pay and require passengers to verify their identities.
