Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Ed Markey (D-MA) are urging Joe Biden’s representatives to offer the body-altering testosterone hormone to a wide range of people, such as depressed teenage girls.

The two Democrats asked federal agencies to relax restrictions on testosterone so transgender people have easier access to it, according to an exclusive report from the 19th. The media channel is sponsored by the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Pfizer, CVS Health, and several other healthcare entities.

The letter asks officials to let companies sell the hormone over the counter, rather than through pharmacies and doctors.

The senators asked the “Department of Health and Human Services, plus the Department of Justice and the Drug Enforcement Administration, what steps … they have taken to reclassify testosterone’s status as a controlled substance,” the report said.

The letter goes on to claim that “this would be consistent with the Biden administration’s goals to promote LGBTQ+ rights and promote transgender access to gender-affirming care.”

“The senators urge U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland to consider using his authority to amend or remove the status of testosterone under the Controlled Substances Act,” the letter said.

The outlet reported that Markey was motivated to send the letter after seeing states introduce “anti-trans laws across the country to ban gender-affirming care for trans youth, which would primarily affect puberty-inhibiting hormones plus testosterone or estrogen treatment regimens.”

“Clearly there are efforts that are seeping across the country. And so I think it’s important for the federal government to step up,” Markey said.

Numerous reports from Breitbart News have found that drug companies are often behind the push to normalize child transgenderism. AbbVie Pharmaceuticals, for example, sponsored an organization called the GenderCool Project. The organization aims to create high-profile media appearances for young people who identify as transgender.

Meanwhile, several doctors who run gender clinics have received financial compensation from AbbVie Pharmaceuticals and Endo Pharmaceuticals for advice.

Another report from Breitbart News revealed that several surgical clinics performing gender reassignment surgery sponsored a conference that tried to normalize sex reassignment efforts of children.
