Three arrested in connection with street racing in Pierce, King Counties

Three people who allegedly participated in street races in Pierce and King counties over the past two weeks have been arrested by Tacoma police.

Tacoma Police Department spokeswoman Wendy Haddow said a 20-year-old man who allegedly organized and promoted a number of street racing events over the past month was arrested at a home in Tacoma.

This man was jailed for four counts of reckless driving and four counts of reckless endangerment.

Haddow said a 22-year-old man suspected of involvement in multiple intersection drift and takeover events was also arrested.

This person is believed to have eluded several Tacoma and Lakewood officers over the past few weeks.

Police say when the man was arrested he was sitting on a loaded handgun with an extended magazine.

This man was jailed on four counts of reckless driving, four counts of reckless endangerment, two counts of criminal escape and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm.

The third suspect, a 22-year-old man, is believed to have been involved in numerous events over the past two weeks. He was arrested at a Tacoma home and jailed on four counts of reckless driving and four counts of reckless endangerment.
